Copcirlce.com. Law Enforcement's Premier Social Website.
Entry for January 23, 2008
According to UCR and Bureau of Justice Statistics data, we can estimate there are nearly 2 million law enforcement officers employed in the United States. This number reflects corrections and police officers combined. In addition, there are probably just as many or more retired officers.
Being a apart of a culture that is over 3 million strong is a priviledge. We like to think our profession as one giant brotherhood and most would agree to this. Unfortunately, the lines of communication across jurisdictional and agency boundaries are not as free as we would like them to be.
Copcircle.com aims to strengthen relationships among law enforcement officers and have some fun in the process. Members can construct their own site complete with blogs, forums, photos and videos. Officers can also create their own social circle.
What makes us so unique? Only sworn law enforcement officers are allowed to become members. There is a verification process. The law enforcement status of an officer is checked before membership is granted.
Copcircle.com is in its infant stages and we are presently working out some minor issues so please be patient. Overall, the site is up and running and we are now accepting requests for membership.
Thank you for your interest in copcircle.com!
